What We Do

At your first visit:
Ilana usually likes to sit with you to discuss your medical history and concerns.

Holistic diagnostics
Diagnosis starts with tongue and pulse analysis and other TCM tests perfected over centuries and updated with new techniques. Treatment may involve acupuncture and the use of herbal remedies. This holistic approach to wellness, which unifies western and eastern beliefs, has been found to be most beneficial.

Factors such as diet, emotional, and work or family considerations go into the mix when formulating the ideal treatments to enhance physical and mental welfare. Nutritional wellness is often a key element in how well your body functions and addressed in your initial assessment.

Moksa+AcupunctureAcupuncture

Acupuncture has stood the test of time and is an intrinsic part of health care for millions around the globe and in North America. Fine, sterile (single-use) needles are inserted into the body along meridians or pathways to release or balance Qi and restore health and energy. The process is painless and relaxing. However, acupressure, moxibustion and cupping work on the same principles and are also available.

Traditional Chinese Medicinals
Herbal medicines rely on natural substances such as roots, bark, and leaves (mostly plant-based), are very effective at treating a number of conditions, and have been in use for centuries.

Safety & Quality Assurance
The House of Vitality works with only well-known, reputable, and established US and Canadian suppliers that are in full compliance with all government and industry standards (Health Canada).

“I believe every home should have Gan Mao Ling… for cold and flu symptoms and especially for cold sores. If I feel one on its way, I take the Gan Mao Ling and the cold sore never surfaces. When my youngest is fluish, I try him with Gan Mao Ling, which is liquid and easy to give to a child. I take him to the doc’s if the symptoms don’t subside to make sure it’s not serious, and then continue.” Ilana
